Love Can Weather Any Storm
Katie and John’s big day happened to fall during one of those rare San Diego Spring storms, but that didn’t stop them from having a magical evening!
By sheer beauty alone, Katie illuminates even the dreariest rainy day!
The ceremony was beneath the shelter of our grand Oak Trees down by the Lower Lawn.
It was a bit of a gamble keeping the ceremony outside, but who can resist a backdrop like this?
At the end of the aisle, in lovely blush arrangements made by the bride, the central arch awaited the happy couple.
She also did the bouquets, but hers is especially spectacular!
Such a romantic statement piece with all the different types of greenery and wispy white flowers!
Pausing a moment to appreciate their hard work thoroughly, the love birds took a moment to let it all settle in.
With their vows finished, they sealed everything with a kiss, and walked into the world as husband and wife!
The clouds opened up just in time for sunset and their photographer Stephani Dennis showed us her skills capturing this shot!
They say having your wedding on a rainy day is best because knots tied when wet are the hardest to undo.
Within the Great Hall, the roaring fire warmed everyone up, and Personal Touch Dining provided an extensive dessert bar, including a donut wall!
Thanks to Katie and John for choosing to spend their big day here with us at the Castle, we so look forward to your bright future together!
Thanks to all the fantastic vendors who helped us make lemons into lemonade!
We couldn’t have done this without you all.
Special thanks to Personal Touch Dining for the Catering, Venue Management, and Coordination of our special events!
