Wow, where to even begin! The moment my husband and I finished our tour of Mt. Woodson Castle, we knew this had to be our wedding venue. The castle itself is gorgeous and such a cool historical place to get married…
The grounds are so well maintained–the oak trees, flowers and other natural foliage created such a beautiful and romantic environment for our outdoor spring wedding. It’s one of those places where if you wanted to, you could get away with very minimal decor and/or florals because the property has so much natural beauty just on its own.
The most appealing part of getting married here second to the actual location is the amazing team and resources that come with it! Mt. Woodson comes with a full service catering team and bar services (Personal Touch Dining), a day-of coordinator, organized rehearsal, venue manger support every step of the way with a production meeting to coordinate all the fine details, rentals, a room filled with complimentary decor you can use for your wedding day, lawn games for guests, etc. It was such an easy choice for someone like me who wanted choices and control over many aspects of my wedding, but appreciated how organized and painless Mt. Woodson made many aspects of the planning process by offering them in one place.

What is the guest capacity at Mt. Woodson Castle for indoor and outdoor weddings?
Mt. Woodson Castle can host weddings of many sizes. Outdoor ceremony lawns and courtyard can accommodate up to 250 guests, while the Great Hall and indoor castle spaces are better suited for more intimate gatherings of around 80–150 seated guests.
Do you offer both ceremony and reception spaces on-site?
We have multiple ceremony and receptions spaces on site. Since we only take one event per day, clients have the flexilbity to change their vision at any time!
Can we bring our own vendors (caterer, florist, DJ)?
Full Service Catering provided by Personal Touch Dining is included in Mt. Woodson Castle’s All-Inclusive Package. Vendors must be selected off our Approved Vendors Lists. Outside vendors are subject to approval by the venue.
Are overnight accommodations provided or nearby?
We have multiple local hotels within 10-15 minutes of Mt. Woodson Castle. Many provide booking specials for Mt. Woodson clients including room blocks or transportation to and from the venue.
How far is Mt. Woodson Castle from downtown San Diego / airport?
We are 40 minutes away from Downtown San Diego.
What are the ceremony and reception fees (venue rental, deposit, etc.)?
Our pricing includes the rental of our historic property, tables, chairs, linens, glassware, flatware, china, napkins, complimentary decor, full service catering packages, and all pre-event planning and production including day-of coordination!
